Blockchain Technology: Theory and Applications Call for papers

 Blockchain Technology: Theory and Applications

 Call for papers

(Deadline for submissionJune 30, 2020)

Blockchain technology originated from virtual currency. Since 2009, virtual currency has sprung up all over the world. Blockchain technology has gradually entered people's vision. Blockchain is a new integrated application mode of distributed data storage, point-to-point transmission, consensus mechanism, cryptographic algorithm and other computer technologies. In a broad sense, blockchain technology is a new distributed infrastructure and computing method, which uses blockchain data structure to verify and store data, uses distributed node consensus algorithm to generate and update data, uses cryptography to ensure the security of data transmission and access, and uses intelligent contract composed of automatic script code to program and operate data.

Blockchain has the characteristics of decentralization, openness, independence, security and anonymity, including the core technologies of distributed ledger, asymmetric encryption, consensus mechanism and smart contract. With its distinctive advantages, blockchain technology is positioned to play an important role in innovative industry applications and the improvement of social governance. Governments, industry and academia all over the world have been paying close attention to the application and development of blockchain. Relevant technological and model innovations continue to emerge. Typical application fields of blockchain technology include finance, internet of things, logistics, public service, digital copyright, insurance, public welfare, among many other.

Journal of Systems Science and Information (JSSI) (ISSN 1478-9906, CN10-1192/N) is a multi-disciplinary journal that focuses on systems science and systems engineering, management science, and information science. This journal aims to provide a platform for sharing new developments in the research fields of systems science and management science and promotes applications of these cutting-edge theories and methods to real world.

In order to discuss the latest research progress of blockchain technology, theory and applications, JSSI prepares this call for a special issue, aiming to collect the latest research results on development, theory and applications of blockchain technology in different fields.

Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to

?   Theoretical research on blockchain technology

?   The application of blockchain technology in finance

?   The application of blockchain technology in internet of things and supply chain management and logistics

?   The application of blockchain technology in manufacturing and operations management

?   The application of blockchain technology in other service sectors, e.g., health care, transportation, and tourism etc.

?   The application of blockchain technology in sharing economy

?   The application of blockchain technology in government administration

Authors should submit a cover letter and a manuscript by June 30, 2020, via the Journal’s online submission site (http://www.syssci.ac.cn). Please specify the submission to “Special Issue: Blockchain Technology: Theory and Applications” when uploading your paper. Manuscripts submitted after the deadline may not be considered for the special issue and may be transferred, if accepted, to a regular issue.

Please see the Author instructions on the web site if you have not yet submitted a paper through web-based system.

All submissions will be subject to a rigorously peer review process under the supervision of the Guest Editors by September 15, 2020. Accepted papers will be published by October 252020.
