The high-quality development of China’s economy: Theory and Applications Call for papers 

(Deadline for submission: August 31, 2021)

The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century. Economies around the world have been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, China has led the recovery after the epidemic, injecting positive energy into the world and becoming an important engine for global economic recovery. Promoting high-quality development has become an important strategic measure for China to cope with the complex and changeable external market environment.

The high-quality development of China's economy has gradually been widely concerned by scholars, and some progress has been made in academic research. This kind of research mainly focuses on the following three aspects: first, what is the connotation and denotation of high-quality development; second, what are the problems faced by high-quality development and the specific paths to promote high-quality development; third, how to build a policy system to promote high-quality development.

In order to further explore the important topic of high-quality development of China’s economy, this SI will mainly publish original research and review papers on the topic of high-quality development of China’s economy: theory and application. We invite original research works that employ quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies, such as empirical surveys, case studies, event studies, mathematical modelling, optimization, and simulation. This SI will adhere to JSSI’s standard of publishing cutting-edge, relevant, and rigorous scholarship that plugs existing research gaps. As such, we welcome novel submissions that are neither published nor currently under review elsewhere. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

l  Theoretical research on the high-quality development of China’s economy

l  Theory and the empirical research of international trade

l  Theory and empirical study of digital economy

l  Theory and empirical study of financial technology

l  Theory and empirical study of supply chain

l  Theory and empirical study of resources and environmental economics

l  Theory and empirical study of real estate economics

Manuscript preparation and submission

Authors should submit a cover letter and a manuscript by August 31, 2021, via the Journal’s online submission site (http://www.syssci.ac.cn). Please specify the submission to “High-quality development of China’s economy: theory and applications” when uploading your paper. Manuscripts submitted after the deadline may not be considered for the special issue and may be transferred, if accepted, to a regular issue. Please see the Author instructions on the web site if you have not yet submitted a paper through web-based system.

All submissions will be subject to a rigorously peer review process under the supervision of the Guest Editors by September 15, 2021. Accepted papers will be published at the end of 2021.
